2. Maybe This Time
Kander/Ebb
Arr. David Firman

Maybe this time
I`ll be lucky,
Maybe this time she`ll stay.
Maybe this time
For the first time
Love won`t hurry away.

She will hold me fast.
I`ll be home at last.

Not a loser anymore,
Like the last time
And the time before.

Everybody
Loves a winner,
So nobody loves me.
Mister Peaceful,
Mister Happy,
That`s what I long to be.

All the odds are
In my favour,
Something`s bound to begin.
It`s got to happen,
Happen sometime.
Maybe this time I`ll win

3. So Deep Is The Night
Chopin/Melfi/Miller.
Arr. Jason Carr

So deep is the night,
No moon tonight,
No friendly star
To guide me with it´s light;
Be still my heart,
Silent lest my love should be returning
From a world far apart.

So deep is the night
O lonely night,
On broken wings
My heart has taken flight
And left a dream.

In my dream our lips are blending,
Will my dream be never ending?
Will your mem`ry haunt me till I die?
Alone am I,
Deep into the night,
Waiting for the light,
Alone am I,
I wonder why?
Deep is the night.

5. She Believes In Me
Steve Gibb
Arr. Wolfgang Käfer

While she lay sleeping
I stay out all night and play my songs,
And sometimes all nights can be so long,
And it`s good when I fin`ly make it home
All alone.

While she lay dreaming
I try to get undressed without the light,
Then quietly she says ” How was the night?”
And I come to her and say it was all right.
And I hold her tight.

And she believes in me.
I`ll never know just what she sees in me.
I told her someday if she was my girl,
I could change the world
With my little songs,
I was wrong.

But she has faith in me,
And so I go on trying faithfully,
And who knows, maybe on some speciel night
If my song is right
I will find a way,

While she lays waiting
I stumble to the kitchen for a bite.
Then I see my old guitar in the night,
Just waiting for me like a secret friend,
And there`s no end.

While she lays crying
I fumble with a melody or two,
Then I`m torn between the things that I should do.
Then she says to wake her up when I am through.
God, her love is true.

And she believes in me.
I`ll never know just what she sees in me.
I told here someday if she was my girl,
I`ll change the world
With my little songs,
I was wrong.

But she has faith in me,
And so I go on faithfully,
And who knows, maybe on a speciel night
If my song is right
I will find the way
While she waits
While she waits for me.

6. Mandy
Barry Manilow
Arr.: Wolfgang Käfer

I remember all my life
Raining down as cold as ice.
Shadows of a man
A face through the window,
Crying in the night
The night goes into

Morning's just another day;
Happy people pass my way.
Looking in their eyes,
I see mem'ry
I never realized
How happy you made me.

Oh, Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking,
But I sent you away.
Oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking,
And I need you today.
O, Mandy!

I'm standing on the edge of time;
I've walked away when love was mine.
Caught up in the world
Of uphill climbing,
The tears are in my mind
And nothing is rhyming.

Oh, Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking,
But I sent you away.
Oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking,
And I need you today.
O, Mandy!

Yesterday's a dream,
I face the morning,
Crying on a breeze
The pain is calling.

Oh, Mandy
Well, you came and you gave without taking,
But I sent you away.
Oh, Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking,
And I need you today.
O, Mandy!

7. I Shall Find My Way
James Price/Adam Price
Arr. Wolfgang Käfer

This is the day
They waited for
These men will stand in my way
Forever more
Just as I thought I had almost won
And the fight was over
Another has begun

Envious men
Will not allow
Life to be easy again
They watch me now
But in my heart I have always known
That the path i`ve chosen
I`ll walk on my own

I shall find my way’Through the darkness
`Cross a Troubled sea
Catch the wind in my sail as I go
In the dark when I fear
That I shall fail
Hope has always been near
It will prevail
Every sea is calm
When the storm has gone
And the darkness will end at dawn

What do they know of the risks I take?
Should I just let my chance slip away?
Time is to short for the rules they make
When the moment is right- seize the day!

I shall find my way
In the darkness’I shallfind my way
Leave my fears all behind as I go
Keep my course in the night
I´ll know somehow
In the dark that is right’
My time is now
Hope is in my heart
Hope is never gone
And the darkness will end at dawn.

8. David's Song
Peter Churchill/ Peter & Joanne Churchill
Arr. Peter Churchill

With the Lord as my shepherd
I have everything I need,
He is with me and I follow him
Whereever he may lead.

He is here on the hillside
Where my spirit can be free
And beside the quiet waters
He is always there
A shepherd just like me.
And in the darkness
I can feel him by my side.
Through the shadows of the valley
He`s my guide.

Oh, the Lord is my shepherd
He is with me night and day
And his spirit here beside
Is my strength along the way

I will follow him forever
And whereever I may be
I will live within his keeping
`Cos he`s always there
A shepherd just like me.

I will follow him forever
And whereever I may be
I will live within his keeping
`Cos he`s always there,
A shepherd just like me

9. Anna´s Ballade Nr. 2
Ida & Bent From
Arr. David Firman

Under tøjet allerinderst inde

Kærlig hilsen Anna - Jeres datter".

10. Masser Af Succes
Larsen/Berlev/Beckerlee/Jönsson/Larsen
Arr.: Flemming Neergaard Pedersen

11. Hymn To Youth
Mortensen/Grieg;Kretzmer
Arr. David Firman

You who are young in years
How will you grow?
Hard is the battlefield
Fierce is the foe
How will you
Face the fight
You who must brave thee night?
Where will you seek the light?
Where lies salvation?

Here is your shield of gold
Here is your sword
Here in the heart of man
Lies your reward
No other way is there
Love is the shield you bear
Treasure the world we share
Make celebration!

Loud speak the guns of war
Death is their tounge
Graves wait beyond the hill
Calling the young
Here in the death of life
Near to damnation
Peace, breathe the breath of life
Breathe liberation.

Wide is the world we call
Our Mother Earth
We are her children all
All of one birth
Reach for the higher ground
Seek where the truth is found
Speak with a gentler sound
Nation to nation

Care for the wilderness
Cherish the land
We are a brotherhood
Hold out your hand
Turn from the heat of strife
Bury the wounding knife
Carry the gift of life
Life is creation.

12. Bring Him Home
Schönberg/Boubill,Kretzmer
Arr. Wolfgang Käfer

God on high,
Hear my prayer.
In my need you have always been there.
He is young. He`s afraid.
Let him rest, heaven blessed.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.

He`s like the son i might have known
If god had granted me a son.
The summers die, one by one.
How soon they fly, on and on.
And I am old
And will be gone
Bring him peace
Bring him joy
He is young. He is only a boy.
Tou can take.You can give.
Let him be. Let him live.
If i die, let me die.
Let him live.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.

13. Anthem
Andersson/Ulvaus/Rice
Arr. Wolfgang Käfer

No man, no madness,
Though their sad power may prevail,
Can possess, conquer my country`s heart,
They rise to fail.

She is eternal
Long before nation`s lines were drawn,
When no flags flew, when no armies stood,
My land was born.

And you ask me why I love her
Through wars, death and desair.
She is the constant,
We who don`t care.

And you wonder, will I leave her
- But how?
I cross over borders
But I`m still there now.

How can I leave her?
Where would I start?
Let man`s petty nations tear themselves apart.
My lands only borders lie around my heart.

2. The Impossible Dream
Leigh/Darion
Arr. Chris Walker
From the musical "Man of La Mancha"

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star!

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this;
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable stars!

3. The Hungry Years
Sedaka/greenfield
Arr. Wolfgang Käfer

Girl, we made it to the top,
We went so highwe couldn`t stop,
We climbed the ladder leading us nowhere.
Two of us together, building castles in the air.

We spun so fast we couldn`t tell
The golden ring from the carrousel;
How could we know the rides would turn out bad?
Ev`rything we wanted was ev`rything we had.

I miss the hungry years,
The once upon a time,
The lovely long ago
We didn`t have a dime;
Those days of me and you
We lost along the way.

How could I be so blind
Not to see the door
Closing on the world
I now hunger for
Looking through my tears,
I miss the hungry years.

We shared our dreams one by one
Making plans was so much fun;
We set our goals and reached the highest star.
Things that we were after wer much better from afar.

Here we stand just me and you
With ev`rything aqnd nothing,too;
It wasn`t worth the price we had to pay.
Honey, take me home. Let´s go back to yesterday

I miss the hungry years,
The once upon a time,
The lovely long ago
We didn`t have a dime;
Those days of me and you
We lost along the way.

How could I be so blind
Not to see the door
Closing on the world
I now hunger for
Looking through my tears,
I miss the hungry years.

4. Leningrad
Billy Joel
Arr.: Wolfgang Käfer

Viktor was born
In the spring of forty four
And never saw
His father anymore
A child of sacrifice
A child of war
Another son who never had
A father after Leningrad

Went off to school
And learned to serve the state
Followed the rules
And drank his vodka straight
The only way to live
Was drown the hate
A Russian life was very sad
And such was life in Leningrad

I was born in forty nine
A cold war kid in McCarthy time
Stop them at the thirtyeighth parallel
Blast those yellow reds to hell!

Cold war kids were hard to kill
Under their desk in an air raid drill
Haven't they heard we won the war
What do they keep on fighting for?

Viktor was sent to some Red Army town
Served out his time
Became a circus clown
The greatest happiness
He'd ever found
Was making Russian children glad
And children lived in Leningrad

But children lived in Levvitown
And hid in the shelters underground
Till the Soviets turned their ships around
And tore the Cuban missiles down

And in the bright October sun
We knew our childhood days were gone
And I watched my friends go off to war
What do they keep on fighting for?

And so my child and I
Came to this place
To meet him eye to eye
And face to face
He made my daughter laugh
Then we embraced
We never knew what friend we had
Until we came to Leningrad

5. Beauty And The Beast
Menken/Ashman
Arr.: David Firman

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
The somebody bends
Unexpectedly

Just a little change
Small, to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the Beast

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise
Soon the sun will rise!

Tale as old as time
Tune as old as song
Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong

Certain as the sun
Rising in the East
Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast

Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Beauty and the Beast

6. I need You To Turn To
Elton John & Bernie Taupin
Arr.: Martin Koch

You're not a ship
To carry my life
You are nailed to my love
In many lonely nights

I've strayed from the cottages
And found myself here
For I need your love
Your love protects my fears

And I wonder sometimes
And I know I'm unkind
But I need you to turn to
When I act so blind
And I need you to turn to
When I lose control
You're my guardian angel
Who keeps you the cold

Did they paint your smile on
Well, I said I knew
That my reason for living
Was for loving you

We're related in feeling
But you're high above
You're pure and you're gentle
With the grace of a dove

7. If We Only Have Love
Brel/Shuman & Blaud
Arr.: David Cullen

If we only have love
Then tomorrow will dawn
And the days of our years
Will rise on that morn

If we only have love
To embrace without fears
We will kiss with our eyes
We will sleep without fears

If we only have love
With our arms opened wide
Then the young and the old
Will stand at our side

If we only have love
Love that's falling like rain
Then the parched desert earth
Will grow green again

If we only have love
For the hymn that we shout
For the song that we sing
Then we'll have a way out

If we only have love
We can reach those in pain
We can heal all our wounds
We can use our own names

If we only have love
We can melt all the guns
And then give the new world
To our daughters and sons

If we only have love
Then Jerusalem stands
And then death has no shadow
There are no foreign lands

If we only have love
We will never bow down
We'll be tall as the pines
Neither heroes nor clowns

If we only have love
Then we'll only be men
And we'll drink from the Grail
To be born once again

Then with nothing at all
But the little we are
We'll have conquered
All time
All space
The sun and

The stars

- if we only have love!

Solen kravler over bjergets top

Bjergets tinder glimter snehvidt

Synge denne sang.

Intet i verden kan være så smukt
Som en morgen på Atlantis
Ser I dens skønhed nogensinde?
Jeres kolde hjerter bryder alting ned

For hvert barn du lod sulte
For hver overhørt klage
For din halvblinde march i ondskabens geled

Lionel Richie
Arr. Wolfgang Käfer

Thanks for the times
That you've given me
The memories
Are all in my mind
And now that we've come
To the end of our rainbow
There's something
I must say out loud

You're once
Twice
Three times a lady
And I love you
Yes, you're once
Twice
Three times a lady
And I love you
I love you

You've shared my dreams
My joys, my pains
You've made my life
Worth living for
And if I had to live
My life over again
I'd spend every moment
With you

11. Vincent
Don McLean
Arr. Wolfgang Kâfer

Starry,starry night,
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer´s day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.

Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.

And now I understand
What you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen,
They did not know how,
Perhaps they`ll listen now.

Starry, starry night,
Flaming flow`rs that brightly blaze,
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent`s eyes of China blue.

Colors changing hue,
Morning fields of amber grain,
Weathered faces lined in pain,
Are soothed beneath the artist`s loving hand.

And now I understand
What you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for yuor sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen,
They did not know how,
Perhaps they`ll listen now.

For they could not love you,
But still your love was true,
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night,
You took your life, as lovers often do;
But I could have told you Vincent,
This world was never meant for one as
Beautifull as you.

Starry, starry night,
Portraits hung in empty halls,
Frameless heads on nameless walls,
With eyes that watch the world and can`t forget.

Like strangers that you`ve met,
The ragged men in ragged clothes,
The silver thorn of bloody rose,
Lie chrushed and broken on the virgin snow.

And now I think I know
What you tried to say to me,
How you suffered for your sanity,
How you tried to set them free.
They would not listen,
They`re not list`ning still,
Perhaps they never will

12. The Sound Of Silence
Paul Simon
Arr.: Peter Churchill

Hello darkness my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
'Cause a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains within the sound of silence.

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobbled stoned
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence

Fools said I - you do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence.

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said:
The words of the prophets are written on the subway
walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence.

Freddie Mercury
Arr.: Wolfgang Käfer

Love of my life you've hurt me
You've broken my heart
And now you leave me
Love of my life can't you see
Bring it back, bring it back
Don't take it away from me
Because you don't know
What it means to me

Love of my life don't leave me
You've taken my love
You now desert me
Love of my life can't you see
Bring it back, bring it back
Don't take it away from me
Because you don't know
What it means to me

You will remember
When this is blown over
And everything's all by the way
When you grow older
I will be there at your side
To remind you
How I still love you
I still love you

Back, hurry back
Please bring it back home to me
Because you don't know
What it means to me
Love of my life
Love of my life
You're my life

14. Jeg Ved En Lærkerede
Harald Bergstedt/Carl Nielsen
Arr.: David Firman

Bring ham hjem - Bring ham hjem - Bring ham hjem

Bring ham hjem - Bring ham hjem.
