I´m Back - 6. April 2005
I have just returned from three weeks in the USA, where I visited 11 PBS-stations in 13 days (I did accrue quite a lot of air mileage!!).
The interest in the Tivoli Concert has been quite overwhelming and we have already received an amazing feedback from the various stations that have aired the program during the month of March. The preliminary report indicates that the program was seen by at least 50% of the potential viewers that the stations comprise, which means that at least 30 million Americans and Canadians are now familiar with a Dane by the name of Stig Rossen. A pretty good start for a (in North America) totally unknown singer from East Fuenen, right? Furthermore, it has been confirmed that I will give 10 concerts over there in the fall, more precisely the last week in September and first week of October. So, the American dream is still very much alive and hopefully on its way to becoming a reality.
In addition to the work related stuff, Nina, Lucas and I also had a great trip. In spite of the hectic schedule we managed to visit Niagara Falls, The National Aquarium (and their amazing dolphin show), and the Space Needle in Seattle. We were also lucky as we managed to see a genuine rodeo in Houston, Texas. All in all it was a busy but wonderful trip to the States.
I cannot hide the fact that I am very excited about returning to the States and having the opportunity to “give it all” in Gods own country in six months time. I still hope that I will be able to bring my own band along, but at the very least I have to bring my three chorus girls from Tivoli – everybody were totally infatuated by them.
I really appreciate your interest. I hope that you will continue using this newsletter where I will keep you updated on the progress of my American career campaign.
Very best wishes
